Does the PetID replace the microchip?
No, it complements it. The microchip is the permanent identification, but only a vet or an animal shelter can read it with a scanner. The PetID can be read by anyone with a smartphone: the neighbour, someone out for a walk, a jogger. That way, your pet may never need to go to a shelter at all.
How is the PetID different from an engraved pet tag?
An engraving shows fixed details. After a move or a new phone number, it leads nowhere. The PetID stays up to date: you manage what the finder sees in the dashboard, instead of having a new tag engraved. And the report reaches you right away.
My dog has run off. What should I do?
Don't chase after them. Report it instead: to the pet registry your dog is registered with, the animal shelter and the local council. You can create a missing-pet poster for free in two minutes. With the PetID on the collar, a single scan is often enough: whoever finds your dog sees the name and your notes and reports "found", with the location.
Isn't a GPS tracker on the collar enough?
The two answer different questions. A tracker shows you a position, as long as the battery lasts and the subscription is running. The PetID needs no power and gives the person who found your pet a direct way to reach you. Many owners use both: the tracker for searching, the PetID for being found.
Can I see where my pet was found?
Yes. When sending the report, the finder shares their location with one tap, and the spot appears as an address with a map link right in your notification. A "seen" report with a location also helps your search.

Can I return it if it's not for me?
Yes, within 30 days of receipt, as long as you haven't activated the PetID yet. Once activated, it's permanently linked to your account, so it's best to check the fit on the collar first. If you return only part of a set, we recalculate the volume discount for the quantity you keep (details in the cancellation policy). For defects, the statutory two-year warranty applies.
