Everything about the DriveID
A QR contact point in credit-card format, on the inside of your windscreen: anyone who notices something about your car scans it — and reaches you in seconds. No app, without ever seeing your number. Here's how it works, why the DriveID exists and what's inside it.

Why the DriveID exists
The DriveID starts with a simple observation: it's rarely the willingness that's missing. It's the way to reach you.
Everyone knows the scene: a bump while pulling out of a parking spot, and the person responsible wants to do the right thing. But the right thing costs them half a day — wait until the owner comes back? Call the police, fill in forms, give a statement? They have somewhere to be, nobody turns up, and with every minute the convenient decision gets more likely: drive on. Not out of malice — because being honest takes two hours and driving off takes two seconds.
And someone who hasn't caused any damage at all, who just wants to help — with the light left on, the open window, the tow truck closing in — hits the same wall: there is simply no way to reach you. And hassle decides whether help happens at all.
Hassle beats good intentions.
The DriveID flips that around: the honest route takes thirty seconds — scan, write, sorted.
„The world is full of honest people. We make it easy for them.“

The difference
The same forgotten light, two outcomes — depending on whether there's a contact point on your windscreen.

With the DriveID
≈ 2 min
You know while it's still easy to fix.
Being reachable isn't a matter of luck. It's a decision.
The technology behind it
Three stops lie between the stranger by your car and the message on your phone — none of them needs an app.
Step 01
The ordinary phone camera recognises the QR code and opens a lean web page: what's this about? Four topics, a text field, one button. No download, no account, no hurdle.
Step 02
The message travels encrypted via servers in Germany and the EU and is passed on to you. The sender never learns who you are or how to reach you directly.
Step 03
On the channel you've chosen: WhatsApp, email or optionally SMS. Replies travel back the same way — through SilentLink.
Works worldwide — anywhere a smartphone has internet.

In everyday life
This is the DriveID in action: someone notices something, scans, writes — and you're there before things get complicated.
Real moments, one principle: the honest way is the easiest one.
Try it yourself
Point your phone camera at the code — you'll see exactly the page a finder sees after scanning: one question, four topics, one button. That's how the DriveID feels from the other side.

Privacy as architecture
Your number isn't on the card, not in the QR code and not in the message — it can't surface along the way, because it never travels the route at all.

The DriveID is a QR contact point in credit-card format (54 × 86 mm) from SilentLink. It sticks to the inside of your car window and makes you reachable without giving away your phone number: anyone who notices something about your car scans the code and writes to you — the message reaches you in seconds via WhatsApp, SMS or email. A one-off €24.99, no app, Made in Germany.
A note shows your number to everyone — permanently, to strangers too, and it doesn't survive the rain. The DriveID flips that around: the finder reaches you instantly but sees neither your name nor your number. And when you no longer want to be reachable, you pause it with one click — you can't recall a note.
No, on neither side. The finder scans with their ordinary camera and lands on a web page; you get the message via WhatsApp, SMS or email. There's nothing to install and nothing to keep updated.
A lean page with a single question: what's this about? Four topics (e.g. parking issue, lighting, damage), a text field, a send button. If you like, the page also shows your car's make and colour — so the person reporting knows straight away they're at the right vehicle. No ads, no account, no data from you. You can see it for yourself in the live demo.
The DriveID is deliberately small (credit-card format) and sits in a corner on the inside of the glass — what matters is that the driver's field of view stays clear. That's the case in the lower corner of the windscreen or on a side window; that's where toll stickers and emission badges go too.
A one-off €24.99 — in the set of three, one DriveID is completely free. After that the Starter plan is free forever, including WhatsApp notifications. Premium (€19.99/year or €2.49/month) is optional — for SMS, anonymously relayed calls, chat replies, photo attachments and multiple recipients; Family brings Premium to up to five accounts. All the details in the plan comparison.
For anyone whose car spends time without them: street parkers in the city, commuters at the station, families with a second car, companies with a fleet. In short: whenever a stranger stands in front of your car sooner than you do.

Straight from the DriveID product page: there you'll find tiered pricing from two units up, shipping via DHL from Germany in 1–2 business days and a 30-day right of return before activation.
The next step
The DriveID costs a one-off €24.99, is active in two minutes and lasts for years. The rest is reachability.
